If you're just joining us — before diving in, we'd recommend our two fan fiction novels set in this world: The Winter King and The Witch's Halloween Masquerade. They'll deepen everything that follows.
In Episode 1, a small stone cottage walked itself to Market Chipping, and Sophie helped it grieve and find a new home. Tonight we pick up four days later. Sophie has been sorting a growing pile of letters from people seeking the castle's help, and she's made a decision: she's going to answer one.
She chooses the letter from Amos Cotter, a farmer in Stump End whose field has been rearranging itself every night since Christmas. And she's not going alone — Calcifer is coming too, tucked in a glass bowl, stepping outside for the first time in longer than either of them expected.
Narrated by Jamie in a warm, unhurried voice that suits a story best told on a winter evening.
"You'd get to go outside." She said it simply, without emphasis, the way she said things when she meant them most. Content Timing00:00 — Welcome and settling in
